Week 1 27.9.18 – 01.10.18
We started to brainstorm ideas and narrowed down from a list of genres into what we wanted to do.
Week 2 1.10.18 – 07.10.18

Week 3 8.10.18 – 14.10.18
We narrowed down our idea into a conversation between a prisoner in limbo and his conscience.

Week 4 - 15.10.18 – 21.10.18

Week 5 - 22.10.18 – 28.10.18
The team lead has been absent for long enough that we started moving forward without him.  We changed our idea somewhat into something a little simpler since we lost a member and are a few weeks behind.

Week 6 - 29.10 – 04.11
Started and finished working on the script for the scene as well as helping to gather sounds for the cut scene.

Week 7 - 05.11 – 11.11
Started modelling some basic assets for one of the scenes.

Week 8 - 12.11 – 18.11
The team lead hasn’t shown up for a while and we can’t contact him. Callum created a simple animatic from the storyboard he created as the team lead said he would do it and hasn’t produced the work.

Week 9 - 19.11 – 25.11
I have taken over the role of team lead as the previous didn’t look like he was going to return to the project. We delegated some of the roles among us to start working on the more complex tasks.

Week 10 - 26.11 – 02.12
In the week leading up to the Christmas break, I made sure my team had what assets they needed before we left. I also split up the different scenes in the animation to different team members to complete over the holidays.

Week 11 - 03.12 – 09.12

Week 12 - 10.12 – 16.12
I boxed out my scene and started framing everything to scale and started to model the transaction desk.

Week 13 - 17.12 – 23.12
Continued to model assets into my scene. Many of my assets were duplicated to save time and effort.

Week 14 - 24.12 – 30.12
Received the character model from Callum and set everything in my scene to checkboard ready to unwrap.
Started and finished unwrapping my scene. After finished unwrapping I moved on to start texturing my models.

Week 15 - 31.12.19 – 6.01.19
Finished texturing and moved on to animate my scenes.

Week 14 - 07.01 – 10.01
Rendered the final videos and moved into premiere for editing. I added sounds and rendered the clips as one video with sound ready for the full animation.

Subject Specialism - 24/01/2019

I have blocked out my level and created most of my assets. All I have left to model is some more of the intricate designs and simple assets. Once I have completed all of the modelling, I will start unwrapping my assets as I would prefer to have everything textured before animating, or at least anything that will be used in the scene. I also still have one of my characters to model. I have the character sheet made but all I need to do is to put them into 3DS Max and model the character. I have the female, Jacqueline Chen, to model and this will be more difficult as I will have to make sure areas such as the waist line and breasts are even and realistic.

Cutscene - Evaluation

Evaluation For this assignment, I had to work in a team of my peers to design and produce the intro cutscene for an imaginary game of our choosing. We worked together to come up with ideas, create pre-production and eventually a final product. Throughout the course of this assignment, we ran into a few difficulties but were able to overcome them. The first thing me and my team did was to brainstorm ideas for an intro cutscene. We started by making a list of genres and deciding which we didn ’ t agree on until we had narrowed down the options. We then decided on what we wanted to make and chose a man who is in purgatory, which we chose to design as a prison cell, and has a conversation with the ‘ Good and Bad ’ spirits on his shoulders about what he had done to help decide if he goes to heaven or hell.
